Great taste crispy apple now available at MBG fruitshop
There’s some good news for consumers in this season’s projection for the Pink Lady Brand Apple as it shows the potential of a quantity large enough to satisfy the demand.
According to an estimate from the Yakima Valley Growers-Shippers Association, the recently completed harvest should be yielding 2,625,000 cartons of the Cripps Pink variety. The Cripps Pink variety is widely known by the trademark name of Pink Lady.
This estimate compares to the approximately 2,282,000 cartons picked last fall and beats the 2,419,000 sent to market in 2007. It should mean the availability of enough Pink Lady Brand apples to keep consumers happy with that apparently being a problem for some of them in recent seasons.
“We ask these consumers to firmly explain that there is a sufficient volume of the Pink Lady Brand available and that they should be including it with the other apples on display. And we also ask them to tell their friends!”
