Xiamen Green Guangyuan Trading Co.,Ltd., does the whole process from pomelo planting, processing, wholesaling and exporting. The company specializes in honey pomelos, bananas, oranges and other fruit. The orchards are situated in Pinghe county, Zhangzhou, Fujian, China, which enjoys its reputation as “Pomelo County of China”.
A lot of work in growing companies is already being done by machines, but there's always work that has to be done by hand. And that's not easy for the aging Japanese farmers. So professor Shigeki Toyama decided to help them a bit. He mechanised the growers bodies. Toyama has developed a mechanical suit that can strongly decrease the physical load of working on a farm. Work that demands a lot from the body: bending, lifting, kneeling, has all become easier due to the robotsuit. The suit has been given the fitting name Power Assist and is nearing completion.
