Everything's gone! Not a single cherry more to sell. The more than 6,000 tourists that yesterday visited the 12th Cherry Fiesta of Bolea were quick in getting a box of the sweet and tasty fruit from the orchards of Aragón. So quick that the 7,300 kilos made available by the cooperative and the village companies, adding to the offer of small producers in front of their homes are all gone. The organization considered it to be a "success" that travelled to other agricultural stands present in the fair.

"There were many visitors, mainly during the morning period. But the afternoon was also very lively", underlined Bibi Sanvincente, president of the Housewives Association "A Cerecera", one of the motors of the event. "I calculate it to have the same affluence as last year, around 6,000 people", she added.
Even if there were years when the cherries were completely soldout in the morning, yesterday afternoon it was still possible to buy the exquisite fruit from Bolea. "There's a lot of people, but they ask more than in previous years, checking the price", commented Santiago Pisa, while attending on one of the stands in the marketplace where cherries was sold, from cooperative Cocebo to be more precise, the cooperative gathering of around 50 producers. "The quality is the same, but the smaller ones are cheaper". So these were the ones being chosen by most people.
Sanvincente and Pisa recognize that the last rainfalls were heavy on the harvest, since between 40% and 50% wre unharvestable. "They were almost ready and the water split them", they added.
But what went on sale was sold out. They calculate it to be around 8,000 kilos. In the stand of cooperative Cocebo 3,500 kilos were sold. The same happened for Celi stand (2,800 kilos) and Buesa (1,000). Moreover, also small farmers went on selling their harvests in their houses yards.
