1st October 2011, JCI Charity Batik event was hosted at National Textile Museum, this was an charity event that co-organized by JCI PJ, MyBatik, MBG Fruitshop, Sunlight Taxi, and BIG Apples Donuts. The objective of this charity event is to provide a platform to underprivileged children to know what is batik and learn how to make batik. It started from 9:30a.m. till 2 p.m. This was the first round of the event which it will be organized on first Saturday of October, November and December.
30 children from House of Joys were invited for the first round. On that days, JCI PJ's members arrived at 9:30 am to start the setup.

60 fruit gift packs were sponsored by MBG.

Sunlight Taxi sponsored the transport to pick up the children from House of Joys, Taman Kinara and arrived at the Museum at 9:30 a.m.
Everybody was gathered in the front area at Museum Reception.
A short briefing by Jason(the organizing chairman) and follow by the officer from National Textile Museum.
The Textile Museum Tour started at 10 a.m., the committees guided the children on the Museum visit which it can them to understand about the making and history of batik.
The children were excited about the tour. After the half hour tour, a tea break was prepared before the batik painting start. The food was sponsored by BIG APPLES DONUTS.
The working communities were busy to distribute the drinks and donuts to the children. From Left: Celine, Lim Hooi Hooi, Liz, and Joanne.
The children were happily enjoyed the sweet and colorful BIG APPLE's donuts.
Looked at the happiness from the smile, this proved the event was successful and it did bring joys to the children.
The children were intrusted on MBG's bunting which it showcase some of the common fruits.
After the tea break, the highlight of the event started, which teaching the children to paint batik. Painting batik is fun actually and with MyBatik's staff guidance and arrangement, this made the session fun and joyful. Look at the photos below, it captured the joyful moments of the day.
It seem all the children was having fun on the batik painting session.

On the last session, before the children went back, MBG's gift bags that contained fresh fruits were presented to each of the participants.
This is the MBG's fruit gift pack that contained pear, orange, grapes and apple, we are sure they would love it.
